Crashes every time....terrible

Not sure what to do. First I select the app and get charged a $1 which I didnt know about but okay, its just a buck. Then each time I open and swipe up to back up the contacts, the app crashes. I have the latest iOS and have sent NG an email with no response. Not worth the buck so far.
